Flu Vaccinations

The flu vaccine helps protect against flu, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness. It’s offered on the NHS every year in autumn or early winter to people at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu.

Flu vaccinations are available on the NHS to all those at a high risk from the complications of flu. You can find out more about those who are eligible for a free flu vaccination here.

If you are not in one of the high risk groups, you may be able to get a flu vaccine privately. Most community and high street pharmacies provide a low-cost flu vaccination service for those who are not eligible to receive one for free from the NHS.
