Test results

If you have had a test arranged by GP at Hand, you will see the result in your NHS App or via NHS Online as soon as we receive it.

Some results may take a while to come back to us, so please be patient. As soon as we have the result, it will be visible to you in your GP health record in the NHS App. You can find your results in the NHS App by going to Your health / GP health record / Test results.

Tests arranged by a Hospital or Consultant

If your test was arranged by a Hospital or Consultant, the result will go back to them directly and they will be responsible for updating you. Unfortunately, we are unable to access the result until they do so.

Some Hospitals are now also linked to the NHS App, and you may be able to access their systems via the “Your Health” tab in the NHS App. You may also find Hospital results are available via the Patients Know Best service.

If you are looking for the result of a test arranged by a Hospital or Consultant, please check these first, and then contact the Hospital or Consultant directly if you cannot see the result you are looking for. Unfortunately, we are unable to chase these results on your behalf.
